Bangalore: Minister in charge of Mysore district S.A. Ramdas on Saturday said an outreach programme had been organised for II PU students.

Experts will teach science subjects on the programme, which will be broadcast on Doordarshan Chandana from January 30. The Minister was speaking after inaugurating new classrooms and a computer room at the Government Girls' PU College on Chamaraja Double Road here. Students should make use of such programmes so that they could excel in academics, Mr. Ramdas said. The Minister said that institutions got a good name not from its infrastructure but from its students' academic performance. “If students achieve their goals, it brings a good name to the college and their parents,” he said.

Mr. Ramdas interacted with students. Officials from the Department of PU Education, the principal and lecturers of the college were present.
