City girl gets first rank in CA exam
- Shruti secured 77.67 per cent marks
- Her father, sister are Chartered Accountants
Bangalore: A city-based girl, Shruti Sodhani, secured the first rank in the all-India Professional Competence Examination (Chartered Accountancy level II) held in May this year by securing 77.67 per cent marks.
B.Com student
Nineteen-year-old Shruti is doing her internship at a private firm as part of her course and is also studying B.Com through correspondence course from Bangalore University.
Shruti, who hails from Rajasthan, studied at Apeejay School, Mumbai, till tenth standard and completed her twelveth standard from R.A. Podar College in Navi Mumbai.
She shifted to Bangalore as her father, Arun Sodhani, a chartered accounted, moved to the city.
Shruti's elder sister, Richa, also a chartered accountant, works for a multinational firm.
Hard work
It is hard work and training, particularly from her sister, that helped Shruti to do well in the exam.
"The first rank did come as surprise for me, though I was expecting a rank," Shruti added.
