Mysore: The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysore, is offering a one-year, postgraduate diploma in fire safety engineering. The training will be conducted at the Building Fire Research Centre (BFRC), a laboratory set up at the NIE for extensive hands-on training in testing fire-resistant materials, a press release said here. The curriculum includes analysis and calculation of fire loads and design of passive and active fire safety protection systems.
