PGCET entrance test tomorrow
- 13,008 students expected to appear in 19 exam centres
- UVCE, UBDTCE, VTU students will take the exam at 11 a.m.
Belgaum: The PGCET entrance test for ME/ M.Tech/ M.Arch/ MBA (Infrastructure Management) courses for the academic year 2010-2011 will be conducted on Sunday (July 18). As many as 13,008 candidates are expected to appear for this examination in 19 examination centres set up across the State.
According to the examination schedule, the test for University Visvesvarya College of Engineering (UVCE), University BDT College of Engineering (UBDTCE) and Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) will be conducted from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and for University of Mysore and Kuvempu University from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at their respective centres.
Candidates are expected to attend the examination with hall ticket and black ballpoint pen. In all, 12,636 candidates (non GATE: PGCET) will be appearing for the full-time courses offered by UVCE, UBDTCE and VTU and 111 candidates for University of Mysore and Kuvempu University. As many as 261 candidates will be appearing for part-time courses of UVCE, UBDTCE and VTU.
The candidates with valid GATE score, who have also applied for the seat selection, are exempted from appearing for the test.
Around 4,400 seats are available for ME/M.Tech, MBA (Infrastructure Management) courses.
All candidates who have applied for PGCET- 2010 have been advised to submit all documents such as attested photo copies of marks cards, caste certificate, experience certificate, no-objection certificate for part-time and no-objection certificate for sponsored category to the PGCET Cell on or before July 24, 2010. No individual intimation will be sent for submission of required documents by the PGCET Cell, stated a release issued by Member Secretary and Registrar of VTU here on Friday.
