Bangalore: With the Karnataka Examinations Authority deciding to commence the counselling process to select candidates for engineering courses from July 7, the Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K) has decided to start the first round of its counselling from July 12. The COMED-K had postponed its counselling that was scheduled on July 2 after the KEA, on June 16, postponed its counselling for engineering seats scheduled from June 18, as the engineering colleges in the State were not approved for the academic year by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

According to the revised schedule of the COMED-K, the first round of counselling for medical and dental seats will be held from July 12 to 13, for engineering from July 14 to 25, and for architecture on July 26, said COMED-K Executive Secretary S. Kumar. The final round of counselling for medical and dental seats will be held on July 27. The date for final round of counselling for engineering and architecture will be notified later.

Dr. Kumar said the students will have to visit the website: www.comedk.org to know the session-wise details and the rank allotted for each session of counselling.

Dr. Kumar also made it clear that the students will not be sent separate or individual intimation about counselling.
