Gulbarga: Students of engineering courses (2002 batch) on Tuesday demanded that Visvesvaraya Technology University (VTU) reverse its decision on not allowing students of that batch to take up examinations after 2010.

Students, under the banner of the Students' Federation of India (SFI) and 2002 Batch Engineering Students' Federation, took out a procession to the Regional Office of the VTU here and staged a demonstration. The protesters said that the “irrational” decision of the university authorities to not allow students of their batch to take up examinations after 2010 would have a serious impact on the future of over 2,500 students.
