KSWU to start new courses
Bijapur: Vice-Chancellor of the Karnataka State Women's University (KSWU) Geeta Bali has said that the university will start diploma and certificate courses in fashion technology from the academic year 2010-11.
She told presspersons here on Tuesday that a decision in this regard was taken in the recent meeting of the university Syndicate.
The Union Ministry of Human Resources Development had sanctioned a 1 Gbps Internet service under the National Networking Programme for the university. The facility, which would be available for 10 years, would be provided at Gnanashakti (Torvi campus) of the university, she said. Under the Infonet programme, the KSWU had got 10 Mbps Internet service, Ms. Bali said.
