Workshop on adolescent health held
Manipal: Adolescent nutrition, mental health, substance abuse and reproductive health were the key issues discussed and debated at the one-day workshop on adolescent health conducted by the Department of Community Medicine, Kasturba Medical College, for high school teachers in and around Manipal on February 19.
Science teachers
A press release issued by Manipal University here on Sunday stated that the conference held at the Shirdi Sai Baba Cancer Hospital was attended by science teachers from 20 schools. It was sponsored by the Lions Club of Hiriadka. The first Vice-District Governor of Lions District 324 D4 Jayakara Shetty Kundapura inaugurated the workshop.
Dean of Kasturba Medical College P. Sripati Rao highlighted the importance of such workshops in disseminating health education messages to rural students.
