Chitradurga: District in-charge and Minister for Revenue G. Karunakara Reddy on Tuesday laid the foundation stone for the construction of a building to house the Government Polytechnic College behind Government Arts College. Later, he inaugurated the Bal Mandir and five welcome arches. The Minister visited the District Hospital and distributed uniforms to the ‘D’ Group employees and later inaugurated the isolation ward in the hospital. At a press conference, Mr. Reddy announced that 16 presspersons of district will be allotted sites at subsidised rates in the first phase. He directed to Deputy Commissioner to take steps to provide sites to presspersons in the district.
